Li Yongrong 李雍容 Poem of the Northern Southern Dynasties Restoration Ruqun

A wondrous glimpse into Northern Qi dress, the Li Yongrong 李雍容 Restoration Ruqun is named after a famous poem from this era about the poet's sister chasing horses.

This regal set is restored from murals found at Xu Xianxiu tomb in Northeastern China.

Features a wide collared shirt called Yaolan Ru 腰襕襦 with exaggerated and brocaded sleeves. With shining large mandalas along the sleeve, the jacket of this set is an instant showstopper. 

Typically styled off-shoulder, the Yaolan Ru 腰襕襦 of the Northern Dynasties are pulled over the skirt, rather than under the skirt like neighboring kingdoms of this era.

The "strapped skirt" called beidaiqun 背带裙 has the iconic striped skirt of this era, but with convenient shoulder straps to prevent any falls! Printed with even more mandalas, the trim also contains a fun striped pattern. A fun detail that really brings the whole set together. The skirt comes in a long trailing version, as well as a shorter version.

Note that Chinese sizes are smaller than US sizes. To avoid wrong sizings, please refer to the sizing chart in the photos. Please measure in centimeters.

 

CLEANING INFORMATION

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
